Carmen David is a survivor of a condition called aortic dissection. She uses her story to spread awareness and fund aortic research through her “Run For Aortic Health” race event.
Carmen is a patient advocate and is highly involved in education and awareness projects as a patient advocate and board member for multiple aortic initiatives. Her work is voluntary, and her passion is helping educate and guide others through this scary journey.
The Run For Aortic Health event helps spread the word on this health risk many have never heard of. As the race has grown over the years, supporters and sponsors have contributed $125,000+ in research funds that directly help doctors doing research on Aortic Dissection treatment and prevention.
